Love Theoretically by Ali Hazelwood

LOVE THEORETICALLY Okay, first off. I have been stuck in a really bad reading slump lately. So I picked up this book from Target about 2-3 months ago. I just finished yesterday in one sitting (I know so healthy). Anyways, Elise is a physicist at 3 different universities in Boston (I would been burned out!). However, during her time in college she and her best friend Celeste have been roped into the fake dating business. Jack Smith, is also a physicist at MIT! He has a past where he pretty much pissed off a whole career of physicist (read the book to find out what he did 😉). Elise and Jack both meet on Elise's first fake date with Greg to convince his family that he's happy in a relationship.  Moving on, I would rate this book 4/5. I would say 4 because it is similar to The Love Hypothesis especially with the plot and similarities to the TLH. However, I still loved the book and the plot regardless because it was written so well. In my opinion, I don't think it's reall

A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime by Monica Murphy (possible spoilers)

Image
A Million Kisses in Your Lifetime by Monica Murphy Crew and Wren are two students at their private boarding school. Crew's family basically owns the school so he's the typical rich boy with well-known family. Wren, a girl who promised herself to wait till marriage. Everyone that she knows she is weird because she wears a purity ring given through a ceremony by her father. This all changes when Wren gets to know Crew and Crew gets to know Wren through their psychology project. I felt heartbroken with how controlled Wren was through her father's actions and promises. To the point where her privacy was violated, that's not protecting nor act of love as someone in her life claims. Crew has been curious about Wren ever since her freshman year but his best friends just think he wants to bang her because Wren is a virgin. Getting to know each other, Wren and Crew perspectives of each other change and it starts the blooming of a beautiful relationship.

King of Pride by Ana Huang

King of Pride by Ana Huang Okay so... I've always had a thing for British men which is no surprise for my friends from school and anyone who knows me outside of this blog. But when Ana announced this book- I completely lost it because Kai was an amazing side character in Dante and Vivian's story (King of Wrath). Isabella and Kai have my dearest heart because of the blooming romance. Also, the fact Ana written this book so well (so no surprise there)! My favorite moment of this book where Kai accidently slips out "my love" when he was talking to Isabella. So freaking cute. He has certainly raised my expectations in a man. Please please pick up this book if you're looking for a forbidden romance 😼  (yes there's spice :D)

Haunting/Hunting Adeline by H.D Carlton (POSSIBLE SPOLIERS)

Image
Haunting/Hunting Adeline was the first dark romance I had read. I first came across Haunting Adeline on Tiktok because of BookTok and I really didn't get into it. Until recently when I got more videos and posts on social media about our love Zade Meadows. To be honest, it was the fanart that made me want to read Haunting/Hunting Adeline. Before I go in deep with this review, I would like to remind my audience to read the trigger warnings before reading the book ! This book is not for everyone and everyone's mental health matters to me! So please don't pick this book up if you know you aren't capable to handle it.  Anyways, Adeline is a famous author living in Parsons Manor. Parsons Manor is a gothic mansion she inherited from her grandmother. Recently, she was at her book signing at a library where Zade accidently meets her. Zade Meadows, he's giving a mysterious aura. He and his organization Z take down child predators and human trafficking rings. Zade's soul

Icebreaker by Hannah Grace

Image
Icebreaker by Hannah Grace I fell in love with this book when both characters Anastasia and Nathan were introduced in separate chapters. Hannah Grace, the author did a wonderful job writing the characters and the plot. I enjoyed everything about this book (including the spicy scenes 😏).  Anastasia was adopted by her parents at birth. She has no desire to know who are or were her birth parents. She has enough love and support from her adoptive family. Stassie or Stas has been ice figure skating as long as she could remember. However, she expects to be perfect at everything which causes issue. She likes to be in control. So what happens when her ice figure skating partner gets injured?  Nathan. He's the captain of his school hockey team. He's dedicated, protective, handsome, and smart. He meets Anastasia after an incident that occured that effects the ice figure skate and hockey teams. What I love about Nathan is how protective and dedicated he is to his team. You'll find ou

The Deal by Elle Kennedy

Image
The Deal by Elle Kennedy Before actually reading this book,  I have seen this book a lot around BookTok and BookGram. I was interested but then I never picked up everytime I went to Barnes and Noble. Now after reading it, I wish I did. The Deal is a hockey romance between Hannah and Garrett Graham. Hannah is a music major while Garrett is a history who wants to make pro in hockey after graduation. Their whole story is adorable and heartwarming and I wish this happens to me when I start college in few months. There are a specific trigger warning for this book with the mentions of rape.   The side characters were amazing and God Bless Elle for writing seperate books for them. I'm excited to read Logan and Dean's story- you'll know who they are once you start reading "The Deal".  If you love a sports romance and a hot fictional guy, this book is for you! Please fall in love with Garrett Graham! Thanks!

The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams

Image
The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams is best friends to lovers and a football romance. Nathan and Bree have been best friends since their high school years. Bree was a ballet dancer while her best friend Nathan excelled in football. Moving on Nathan is now a NFL player while Bree has her own studio and teachers ballet. My expectations of this book have been met above and beyond and I'm satisfied with my purchase of this book. The only thing I didn't like I was the slow burn between Nathan and Bree. It took forever to get to where I wanted them to be. In terms of the stars, I would give this 4.5/5 stars because the slow burn did annoy me so much but that didn't prevent from not enjoying the story of Bree and Nathan. Until next time guys!  Current Read: People Who Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry
